"a mortal princess with astounding beauty, goddess of the soul."
Psykhe was depicted in ancient mosaics as a butterfly winged goddess in the company of Eros.
happy endings :)

You've captured her beauty and radience magnificently

Thank you. :)

Well done ... you're right.
But how well do you know the story? Can you tell me why there is just a single feather for the Eros painting?

Pegasus was considered a mighty immortal. He gave Zeus his faithful service, and in response was honoured with a constellation of his own. On the very last day he was alive, Zeus transformed him into a constellation – *there a single feather fell onto the earth near the city of Tarsus. This feather was the last evidence of Pegasus who lived in the sky from then on, to be admired by all for all time.*

the connetion to Eros is vague! :)

Oh man!!!! Your version is better than mine! :D
Actually, mine was equally oblique.
After Eros fell in love with Psyche, and after they were wed, he tried to hide his immortal identity from her ... so he would sleep with her only after dark, when the lights were out and would flee before morning ... I imagined that the only clue as to who he might be, left behind in his haste to flee each night, might be a single feather from his wing (Eros was often depicted with angelic style wings), that might drift down, and lightly rest on a shelf ... waiting for Psyche to find it, and wonder from whence it had come.
:)
As I said ... oblique.
Your Pegasus story begs a similar painting ... watch this space. ;)

Excellent!
Would hate for you to quit!
Take your time ... close your eyes, put yourself in character, imagine, and describe what you see in your head; what you feel, smell, touch, taste. What's going on around you.
Don't worry about rhyme, or fancy words ... just write what you feel.
:)

Psyche

A whisper, faint echoes,
drift through the trees
as the dusk closes in.
A pianissimo - faint tones of her wings beating,
as she makes her descent.

He, ensnared in the loving web, bound
by the chords of her souls song,
Meeting in muted clearing,
A fortissimo - immortal heart beating,
as they make their ascent.
