"Take Heart"; Oil on Canvas, 20cm x 20cm x 20cm

Romans 8:38-39
"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. "

Carl is:
  • Still praying!!!
  • Watching this movie (a classic, but hectic!)
  • Listening to this (a lot... beautiful!)

The words suit the painting - maybe it's the look in the buffalo's eye... can't quite explain it

Okay Anon ... you're as much of a loon as I am, it's official. :) LOL!

For me it was this ... there is no african animal with the "heart" of a buffalo ... it seems to have pure determination ... heart.

i thought determination was a mind thing... ok i get it... your mind determines your heart or your heart your mind depends which way you look at it! :) but... the eyes are still a give away! :0)

:) Yes ... as, if one says, "you really put your heart into it", it means you gave it your all doesn't it? What I meant by the title was "be courageous" or "be strong" which is what I think the idiom means.

... and it's ALWAYS the eyes that tell the full story, isn't it. ;)
